Bio

At Swedesboro Jiu-Jitsu, Coach Carleigh Gallardo offers more than just instruction – she brings a rare fusion of competitive martial arts experience and specialized physical therapy knowledge.

Carleigh began her martial arts journey in 2018 at Blitz Athletics in Philadelphia, immersing herself in Jiu-Jitsu and striking, Muay Thai, and Kickboxing. She would later join the Team Webb Association (TWA), where she earned her purple belt in 2023 under the guidance of TWA head coach Jonavin Webb. As a blue belt, Carleigh demonstrated her competitiveness in challenging events like Tap Cancer Out and Grappling Industries.

What truly sets Carleigh apart is her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) background, graduating from Stockton University in 2019. This expertise means her coaching goes beyond technique; it focuses on safety, efficiency, and building long-term athletic health. She's passionate about helping you move better, prevent injuries, and unlock your full potential on the mats, offering a professional perspective that's hard to find.

Carleigh maintains an active and balanced lifestyle outside martial arts, enjoying running, competing in triathlons, and dancing. This dedication to personal well-being is reflected in her holistic approach to coaching.
